The Idol Dream


I'm sure that plenty of you have heard of Idol Shows. For instance, American Idol or Singapore Idol. Personally, I think that Singapore Idol shouldn't even be created.

Firstly:

In my opinion, Singapore shouldn't even have hosted a Singapore Idol singing talent show. Here's my case:
1. Singapore has always emphasized in study. Academically. Why would anyone have time to sing or go for singing lessons, we're always occupied with homework that it is literally impossible to sing in any spare time you've got.

2. Singapore has a small population. Small population = small talent

3. Singapore Idol contestants are always singing American songs. American's voice are extremely strong and has that "powerful" push to it. Asians have "small" voices unlike those

We look just plain tardy next to all the other countries, like America and all those countries. You definitely feel disgraced when compared to the other country Idols.
Singapore Idol has no talent in singing. SERIOUSLY. Their singing are all not up to the standard of being an idol. It's either Singapore idol has no talent or the talented people refuses to join Singapore Idol. Therefore, the winner of Singapore Idol would be a nontalented (singer) of Singapore Idol. That's the reason why I don't care about Singapore Idol (I'm sure many don't care either) (Check out the Facebook page that says quote "Singapore Idol? Who gives a f***?"


Well, there's only one reason.

Kelly Clarkson
she's just so so amazing. I just love her songs. For example, Breakaway and Already Gone are just fantastic songs. If my memory serves me right, she was the first winner of American Idol. She made it far I guess and I love her songs. She went far and that's so great!


Jordin Sparks
Actually, I didn't hear of Jordin Sparks until I heard her song BATTLEFIELD. Love that song still. I think Jordin Sparks went quite far. :D She's quite amazing


Carrie Underwood
she's just so so so AWESOME! Love so many of her songs :D and she got very very far too probably because of her talents and her looks. In fact she's one of my inspirations.



David Archuleta
He got 2nd for American Idol I think. I love his songs coz they're sooo amazing and he's sooo innocent and un-corrupted.




Kris Allen
Last year's winner. He and Adam Lambert battled it out with the song to determine who wins: No Boundaries. Personally Kris Allen sang it better although some people would disagree and say that Adam Lambert sang it better. Either way, Kris Allen still won (:

Well anyway, so my whole point is that American Idol people can make it so far. But Singapore Idol? No, just no.

DISCLAIMER: I do not hate Singapore in any way. I love Singapore, lived here my whole life, love it, it's just that Singapore shouldn't try to compete with something they never had in the first place.

You enter a large library filled with big book shelves. And you're pretty sure that this maniac doesn't read books. You slowly creep up on the shelves and slowly investigate, as you reach out to seize one of the pretty books, you get an electric zap, then a threatening voice, presumably a device in the book screams out, "please enter password." In a panic, you drop the book and rush off. You quickly stuff the security locked book into the back of all the other books, and scurry off, pretending nothing happened.
