Why do people migrate to Australia?
I was on Google. And while typing a question, I saw this:

And I thought about it. Google's right. Why would people want to migrate to Australia in the very first place.
It makes absolutely no sense to move from a rather fine country to another country where you don't know and perhaps have only went on holiday there for a week or two.
Yes, I love Singapore. I don't even know Australia. All I know is that its a continent all by itself and kangaroos live there. I never said I liked Geography!
In Singapore:
Kiasu people
Bubbletea
G2 0.5 pilot pens everywhere
Heaps of work and exams
Asian parents (Who says, "Why no A**?" When you get an A* for your subjects)
Lots of computer playing
High tall skyscrapers
Badminton playing
A million tuitions
We remove our shoes at home
Lots of people wears glasses
plays the piano
The Australian culture:
Very open
Tennis playing
Lives in a house rather than an apartment, etc
doesn't often get tuitions
Loves juice
Loves summer, beaches,
A country which takes sports very seriously
They don't have 0.5 pens because they probably like using thick ink pens
They wear shoes inside the house
Most of them don't wear glasses
Not very studious, workload is little, a little slack
Smiles even to a strangers.
Isn't it funny to see the culture so different? So why, WHY on earth would anyone want to live in a country with almost zero similarities? Crazy insane people.
Crazy insane people like my parents.
Anyway. So I Googled that question: Why do people migrate to Australia.
And here was what Googled replied.
1. Health Care is free
That is true. But thats not a good enough reason to move to Melbourne.
2. The standard of education in Australia is high.
HAHAHA. Thats not true. The education is easier than Singapore. And the workload is lesser compared to Singapore.
I'm not gonna read that website anymore, its rubbish
Anyway.
In Singapore, I never really thought people of kiasu, I thought it was pretty normal. I thought everyone in the world were like this too. But Australia proved that theory wrong.
I also always thought the whole world drank bubbletea. I mean, who doesn't?!
I am also really sick and tired of everyone not using 0.5 G2 pens. I mean, whats wrong with them??!! Everyone knows G2 0.5 pilot pens are the best. Now I can't spin my pen properly. I miss you 0.5 pen! :((((
Asian parents. I never knew Asian parents were one of a kind. I always used to think that the whole world would always pressurize or make their kids get A's for all their subjects. But Australian parents are so much different. Australian parents don't mainly make their kids get A's.
I know that Singapore has to have apartments and condos etc, because of the limited space in Singapore. Hahaha, Everyone wants to live in Singapore, so Singapore governments had to improvise! Hahhaa. See, the fact the everyone wants to live in Singapore goes to show the awesomeness of Singapore. However, mostly everyone in Melbourne has houses.
I realise that most Asians plays the piano. Hahaha, I'm so Asian!

Positive me
Fine, so maybe I have been negative, pessimistic and un-positive about almost everything since I arrived to Australia, so maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'll find some positive stuff. Be honoured, for I rarely, or almost NEVER, look on the bright side.
1. Most stuff on the internet cant be done in Asia.
For some reason, most of the offers and stuff on the internet can only be done in western countries such as United States and Australia.
2. Theres cold weather
I know how I extremely hate hot weathers. Singapore has an extremely warm weather, its annoying sometimes. I also get summer blues sometimes. Maybe its because I'm an weird person. Usually people LOVE the warm and tropical weather and absolutely HATE the winter and chilly weather. My spirits instantly gets lifted when I spot a black cloud from a mile away.
3. There are unique tidbits here
I love tidbits. Absolutely love them. Some tidbits here cant be found in Singapore. Though I get really pissed when I visit the grocery stall and to my disappointment, Pocky and Hello Panda cant be found :(. Those are only found in Asian grocery stalls.
4. Your allowed to NOT tie your hair
WHEEEEEEEEEE, finally, someone who truly understands that I cant be bothered tying my hair. Why cant everyone be the same?
5. Your allowed to DYE your hair.
YAYY. I'm going BLONDE. No, I'm just kidding, I don't wanna be called a blonde bimbette. Or maybe I'll dye my hair red, and be a school rebel. :)
6. Sorry, I cant think of anymore good stuff, 5 is the limit :D.
Although I have thought of the good stuff of Australia, I still wanna return to Singapore. And I'll knock on YOUR door and give you a big surprise. Haha.
I'm hoping like mad that I can go back to Singapore during the December holidays, one of my friends, Justine is going to Singapore and Malaysia during the September holidays and she's counting down. Maybe I should count down too.
18th December 2010.
Hmmm, thats a pretty long time....
Well, on the bright side, I'll have that much time to persuade my parents to bring me to Singapore.
Gahh, I need to stop looking on the bright side and return to being my negative, tense self.

Rants
I have practically lived my whole life in Singapore, except for the last 6 months of hell. And that’s why I’m going to complain, since complaining is one of Singaporean’s habits. Australia has the lousiest transport system in history. Okay, so maybe the reason being is that everyone owns a car, but how about tourists? What are tourists going to do? Rent a trailer? Wouldn’t that cost hundreds of dollars? You know, in Singapore there are always taxis on the move, whizzing around, fighting for passengers, but in Australia? Oh… you’d be lucky if you even saw a taxi at all. That’s how rare taxis are. Maybe if you go to the more city-like areas, there’d be more taxis, but how about outside of the city? How about people who got stranded and lost in the outside areas of the city?
Their train, is lousy, super lousy. I’ve sat it once, because it was a school excursion and we were going to the city, I really wanted to bring my camera to take a few snaps of the beautiful city, too bad I was too forgetful to charge my camera. Gahhh, why am I such a klutz? Oh well, clumsiness has its advantages sometimes… hardly… actually… almost never. The city was gorgeous, it reminded me of beautiful Singapore. We visited a building which was the Eureka Tower
Behold…
*Ahem, drum roll please*
...
...
...

Its really large and modern and reminds me so much of Singapore.
Anyway, back to the train topic...
The train took half an hour or something to arrive. Whilst in Singapore? 5minutes or something. And the train looked shabby and old, like something you'd find in a scrapyard. And the trains are also very inconvinient because its soooo far away from the houses. For example, in Singapore, a bus stop or MRT is sure to be somewhere near you, while in Australia? You'd have to walk MILES and miles or even kilometres before you find a bus or train. I miss Singapore so s much.

Taylor Lautner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have anyone heard?? TAYLOR LAUTNER'S COMING TO AUSTRALIA TOMORROW. YAYYYYY! BUT.... He's going to Sydney, Luna Park or something.
...
...
...
Dang
I was soo looking forward to getting an autograph (: Hah, nah, even if he does come to Melbourne, he'd have a thousand of screaming fans and I probably would get his autograph and a picture of him in... well.... A HUNDRED YEARS?
I hope those screaming fans would get starstruck and stand there staring at Taylor for a few minutes, just enough time for me to rush to the front of the line. x)
I think there's already people camping at Luna Park, desperately waiting for Taylor Lautner. Hope there won't be a Lautner fever outbreak. Like the Bieber outbreak. Cuz Justin Bieber went to Sydney for his concert or something and everyone just went berserk and his concert had to be cancelled by the police.
Why do all celebs go to Sydney? First Kei$ha (i'm pretty sure she went to Sydney), then Justin Bieber and then TAYLOR LAUTNER :(. Booooo!!!!
Anyway, it also unfortunately happens to be a Monday tomorrow and I have to go school, so staying in Sydney probably won't help me get nearer to getting my Taylor Lautner autograph. I bet people's going to skip school tomorrow to see Taylor Lautner. Huuurrmpph. :(
Proud to be on TEAM JACOB. Yay!!!! (:

Taylor Lautner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you love him but try not to scream while you're here.
Those on Team Edward: GO ON TEAM JACOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SORRY FOR SOUNDING LIKE THOSE ANNOYING FAN GIRLS. HAHAHAHHA x)

The Australian Diet
The australian diet:
ever since I've came here, my diet started to change
Firstly, I don't eat chicken rice anymore. Oh, I miss the taste of it too. I don't eat laksa or anything local in Singapore anymore either.

I hate pictures. Just seeing this makes me what to eat it even more. It's all thanks to google

CHICKEN RICE! Ooh, I would give anything to eat that right now. I JUST HAVE TO HAVE ONE PLATE!!!!!!!!
Anyway, here in Australia, my diet starts to change. Instead of eating any Singapore local food, I start eating Australia local food.
I've started eating meat pies. They're lovely. With thick crusts at the outside, the inside is some type of beef. And it's really nice :)

Also, for some funny reason, I've started to drink more orange juice here.

Still, rice and veggies are still in my diet. Sad thing too.

I know, it's not good to be fussy when Africa people are starving. But you know what they say. Comparisons are easily made once you've had a taste of perfection.
Also, I've also started to eat more chicken. Like chicken chop and stuff. Mmmm.... yummy

Although the food here's really yummy, I miss Singapore's local food. Ugh. My tummy's craving for all of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I go back to Singapore, I'm definitely going to eat all of the local food. :D :D :D :D
Sorry if this post made you hungry!
I was hungry when I made this post.

Report From Down Under
REPORTING FROM DOWN UNDER
Yep, didn't die on the plane and managed to reach Australia safely and finally found time to blog. The season is summer and the temperature is soooo drastic. The day before yesterday, it was freakin hot okay? The temprature was 38 degrees and we didn't have a fan or aircon because the aircon broke down (I know, perfect day to break down) and. But yesterday, the temperature was completely different, the temperature went down to 17 degrees and was freaking cold? Was really really cold. And today, it's in the morning so it's supposed to be cold, and as I'm typing my hands are actually freezing.
Okay, I was born in Singapore and as typical Singaporeans (although I'm not one, but I grew up in Singapore) I shall make a complain.
The Internet Connection Here Is LIMITED!!!!
Unlike Singapore, which is unlimited, after using finish like 4GB (Gigabyte), your internet would run out and you can't use it anymore. In Singapore, you can just keep using and playing without worrying at the fact that your internet would run out, because Singapore has unlimited broadband connection. This is the most absurd thing I've ever heard of. Preposterous you hear me?
Oh and soo soo so sorry for not going on MSN so lately. The time here and Singapore is different. Australia is 3 hours ahead of Singapore time. Right now in Singapore it's 7:37a.m but in Australia it's 10:42a.m so it'd be quite hard to be online at the same time. Also, as the internet connection is limited, I can't go online as much as I used to in Singapore. UGH. Thankfully chubby Jing Xuan gave me her Sims2 game. That really came in handy.
I MISS EVERYONE!!!!!
SIGH SIGH SIGH. Can do nothing about it anyways :C.

Past Entries
You enter a large library filled with big book shelves. And you're pretty sure
that this maniac doesn't read books. You slowly creep up on the shelves and
slowly investigate, as you reach out to seize one of the pretty books, you get
an electric zap, then a threatening voice, presumably a device in the book
screams out, "please enter password." In a panic, you drop the book
and rush off. You quickly stuff the security locked book into the back of all
the other books, and scurry off, pretending nothing happened.
